This wasn’t so much a dream as an experience. My family and I were on a trip some time ago, and we stayed at a hotel one night. I was sleeping on a cot with my back to the door. Sometime during the night I woke up and felt what I can only describe as a presence behind me. The most horrifying and paralyzing sense of fear washed over me. I’ve never been so terrified in my life. It only lasted for a few seconds, after which, strangely, I fell right back to sleep.
